Overview
Torres del Paine Classic is a 5-day program for travelers who want to see the national park without carrying a pack between refugios. You stay four nights in a 3-star hotel in Puerto Natales with breakfast included and head out on three days of guided excursions: a flexible full day in the park, a 3-hour horseback ride on an estancia near Puerto Natales and a boat navigation to Grey Glacier.
The full day is shaped around you and your certified guide. It can be the Base Torres hike, the long climb to the lake at the foot of the granite towers; a full day of viewpoints around the park; or a mix of both. On the horseback day you ride for three hours on an estancia, and on the fourth day you cross Playa Grey on foot to board a catamaran that sails toward the face of Grey Glacier among floating icebergs. Transfers, meals during the excursions, national park entrance fees and your guides are included.
The program is rated low difficulty and is meant for travelers who are less into adventure but still want the park's views. If you choose Base Torres for the full day, that day becomes demanding (about 22 km with roughly 1,400 m of elevation gain), but the rest of the trip stays gentle. It runs year-round for groups of 1 to 12 guests, with November to March as the recommended months. If you want more time on the trail, Torres del Paine Active adds the Base Torres hike, a day in the Cuernos sector and puma tracking over 7 days.

Good to know
- Day 2 is your choice: Base Torres (demanding), a full day of viewpoints (easy) or a mix. Tell us at booking and your guide confirms the plan.
- From April 27 to August 30, park winter rules apply: a guide is required on the Base Torres trail and on the W (guides are included here), CONAF can extend that period when snow and ice remain, and hiking at night is not allowed.
- Park passes are sold online only, not at the gate. Your entrance fees are included and we send you the pass; carry it with your passport.
- Patagonian weather changes fast: expect sun, rain and strong gusts on the same day in any month. Bring layers even on the boat.
- Travel insurance is required and is not included. Meals not listed (such as dinners in Puerto Natales) are on you.
- From May to August the Grey boat runs on fewer days. We schedule your navigation on a sailing day. If wind or weather keep the boat in port, your guide swaps it for a walk across Grey Beach to the viewpoint facing the glacier's icebergs, plus the short trail to Salto Grande and Mirador Cuernos.

Yes, the program is offered year-round, with November to March recommended. From April 27 to August 30 the park requires a guide on the Base Torres trail and on the W and doesn't allow night hiking. From May to August the Grey boat runs on fewer days, so we book your navigation on a sailing day. If the boat stays in port, your guide leads a walk to the Grey Beach viewpoint, Salto Grande and Mirador Cuernos instead.
Classic is 5 days and low difficulty. Active is 7 days, low to medium difficulty, and adds the Base Torres hike, a full day in the Cuernos sector and puma tracking.
No. Travel insurance is required and is not included. We recommend World Nomads for travel insurance and Global Rescue for evacuation and medical support in remote terrain. Both are optional partners, never part of the trip price.
